Dr. Maria Jurek

I am a senior associate in the Intellectual Property team.

I have many years of experience in advising clients on intellectual property issues, including patent infringement, additional protection rights (SPC), industrial designs, trademarks and copyrights, as well as plant variety rights.

In addition, I specialise in pharmaceutical and medical devices law. I have advised many life science companies on regulatory requirements, clinical trials and issues concerning advertising, sale and distribution of medicinal products and medical devices.

I worked as a case handler in the Competition Protection Department at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, handling competition proceedings in the pharmaceutical sector. I also participated in the working groups of the European Competition Network.
