I am a member of the Brussels IP/IT team, based in our The Hague office. I support clients in Europe and Asia across various sectors on a broad range of IP, tech, data protection and commercial matters.
Over the years, I advised on a wide range of topics, including IP due diligence, licensing and transactions, trade mark collisions and infringements, domain name disputes, protection of confidential information and trade secrets, platform liability, as well as data protection, EU digital legislation and various commercial contracts.
Prior to joining our firm in 2021, I worked as in-house legal counsel at OMA, a global architecture firm, covering Asia from their Hong Kong office. Before that, I served as in-house legal counsel at IPG, one of the 'Big Four' advertising and marketing services conglomerates, covering Europe and Asia from London and Hong Kong. I started my career at a China-focused boutique law firm in the Netherlands. I am dual qualified in the Netherlands and England & Wales.
My previous in-house experience gives me a unique insider perspective and understanding of how companies and their legal functions operate, as well as what they want and need from their external lawyer. While counselling creative and tech clients in both Europe and Asia, I earned my place at the table with proactive, pragmatic, high quality advice that focuses on solutions and is sensitive to local circumstances.
I speak Dutch, English, and Mandarin Chinese fluently, and I have strong reading comprehension in French and German.
